La Poulerie, as the name implies, was at one time
a chicken farm. We bought our property in 1992, and after converting the mud
floor barn into our home, were able to
move over to France in 1993 and open to offer Bed & Breakfast.
By 1995, we had restored our other two
cottages on our property. Le Poussin sleeping 2 people, and Le Poulet sleeping
4 people. These cottages were the original farmers cottages and are
situated across the pretty courtyard
from our house.
The
whole property is set on an acre of land with an attractive courtyard and
garden. Guests staying at La Poulerie have use of our private 11m x 5m heated
swimming pool (heated from May to September ) and the surrounding terrace with
sun beds, solar shower, covered patio area with sofas, table and chairs. The
pool is treated with salt therefore kind to young and sensitive skins.
