This is our medium sized cottage, the original habitable part of this property. On the ground floor there is a large open plan room with ‘Tuffeau’ fireplace and black & white chequered floor, not original, but never the less laid over 160 years ago when the original fireplace was replaced with that of today, and the old bread-oven was removed. This room has the original oak beams, which have been sandblasted to bring them back to their original beauty. Here you will find a kitchen area with fridge, microwave, gas cooker and toaster, along with all of the necessary items you would expect to find. Also there is a pine table and chairs and an antique oak sideboard.
In the lounge area there are double and triple seater sofas and armchair with coffee table and an antique oak chest with the television, video, dvd and Hi.Fi. with C.D. player, you have a choice of books and magazines to read and access to our extensive video library.
Upstairs you have a small landing off which there are two bedrooms and the shower room. One bedroom has a double bed and bedside tables, built-in wardrobe, dressing table and a chest of drawers, from the window you have wonderful views of the orchards and forests beyond.
The other bedroom has twin beds with bedside tables, built-in wardrobe and a chest of drawers. Both of these bedrooms have original beams, some of them low. The shower room has a washbasin and toilet.
To the rear of the cottage you have a covered patio with barbeque, garden table and chairs, with shared enclosed garden.
